American Academy of Medical Acupuncture (AAMA)
The AAMA is a professional association of medical doctors who practice acupuncture. The academy provides general information about acupuncture, publications, meetings, and proficiency examinations.

National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM)
The NCCAM is the information arm of NIH's National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine.  It provides information about complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) and the activities of the NCCAM, including research.

World Health Organization (WHO)
The WHO is the health agency of the United Nations.  This website provides information on acupuncture as well as a review of the current literature on acupuncture practice.  This review of literature provides information about the effectiveness of acupuncture therapy based on existing clinical data.
